Fårup Sommerland & Aquapark

Beautiful scenery, picturesque fishing villages, the roaring waves of the North Sea, white sandy beaches and dunes where you can find shelter from the wind. Activities for the whole family including bowling, go-karts and swimming baths. There’s certainly plenty to do in the area around Fårup Sommerland.

Hjerl Hedes Outdoor Museum

Hjerl Hede is one of Denmark's great and exciting attractions which is well-known for its living history, and well worth visiting for the whole family.
The museum shows the development of the Danish village from the year 1500 up to about 1900 with among other things a forge, an inn, mills, a school, a vicarage, a dairy, a grocer's shop and farms.


Jesperhus Flowerpark

Welcome to the Jesperhus Resort
The Jesperhus Resort is a family owned company with an interesting history. Through the years Jesperhus has developed from a small garden into the largest flowerpark in Northern Europe which today also include camping site and a holiday centre.


Bunkermuseum in Hanstholm

The site comprises Hanstholm’s unique museum bunker, which housed one of the four large 38 cm guns during the war.
At the bunkeren has been constructed a beautiful new building wihich houses an interesting exhibition about the »Atlantic Wall«.
Don’t forget to set aside time for a walk in the beautiful countrydside surrounding the bunkers. This trip can be made with the old munitions train.

Nationalpark Thy

The Danish Parliament has appointed the area of western Thy as home to the first Danish national park. The official opening took place on the 22nd of August 2008.
The national park, which covers an area of 24.370 hectares is located along the coast of the North Sea from Agger Tange in the south to Hanstholm in the north and extending up to 12 kilometer inland.
This leaflet gives an introduction to the sights of Denmark's first national park.


Kystcenteret in Thyborøn

THE COAST CENTER in THYBORØN is the west coast's largest experience center with a lot of experiences for the whole family and an exciting school service for classes from all over the country. With the help of sensational experiments, you get a fantastic insight into the dramatic natural elements that have characterized and formed the Danish coast. At Kystcentret you get close to the sea with its enormous powers!

The Greatest Aquarium of Northern Europe and much more....
A visit to the North Sea Museum is always a world of new experiences. The Oceanarium itself with large schools of mackerel, herring, horse mackerel and garfish that are fed by the diver every day is worth the visit.
In the numerous exhibit you will find exiting and educational information on life below the surface of the North Sea, and in the "North Sea Lab" you get really close to the animals - you may even touch some of them!


Nordsø Akvariet in Nørre Vorupør

Here every visitor expieriences all species of fish in The North Sea including fish from allmost any waterdepth, seldom fishes as well as common fishes.
All species are taken ashore by the fishermen in Vorupør.
In the Aquarium more than 80 species are represented in their natural surroundings.
Here you ca study the fascinating diversity of life in The North Sea.
TOUCHING BASSIN
In level for children youøll find a large touching bassin. Here you can try to "shake hand" with a shark and other species.
